Next to raising my kids, being on the city council is the best thing I've ever done. Lately, it's been very contentious and stressful, due to an increase in city sales tax proposed and approved by the council. Long story short, I did what I felt I was charged to do when I took my oath: protect the city. Obviously, I'm concerned about my chances for re-election, but I voted my conscience based on the facts and my kids and I will have to live with that along with everyone else in the city.

Most of the time, being on council is rewarding and positive. It gives me a unique opportunity to shape my kids' future in a way that alot of parents don't have access to.

I would love to speak to you more about this, perhaps by "contacting me," or I you?
